By using quits you agree to these terms. They're short on purpose.

The service

quits is a free tool for keeping track of shared costs and working out who owes whom. It doesn't move money. Payments you record are notes about payments you made elsewhere.

Your responsibilities

• Only add people who know they're in the group, and only share a group's link with them.
• Don't use quits for anything illegal, to harass anyone, or to store sensitive data such as card numbers.
• Don't try to break, overload or get around the limits of the service.
• Keep your account secure. You're responsible for what happens under it.

Your content

What you add to a group is yours and the group's. You let us store and show it to the people who can open that group, which is what the app is for. See Privacy for details.

Amounts are your call

quits does the arithmetic carefully, but it can only work with what people enter. Check balances before you pay anyone. We aren't responsible for disagreements between members or for money paid on the basis of what the app shows.

Availability

The service is provided as is, without warranties. We may change it, limit it, or stop it, and we'll try to give notice before anything that affects your data. We may remove content or accounts that break these terms.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us, which is nothing.

Changes

If these terms change, we'll update the date above. Continuing to use quits means you accept the new terms.
